Gardens for Guatemala:
Hi! We are Adam Schonebaum and Sabrina Zuliani and our senior project is Soil of Heaven. We are all about helping the people of El Rosario, a community outside of Antigua, Guatemala have access to clean food. Our mission for the project is to go to the homes in the community and build them gardens. We are aiming to build, plant, and teach the people of El Rosario how to maintain these gardens for longevity. We also will be supplying the families with a Spanish Bible so they can learn more about our savior! This project is being spear-headed by us but due to the size, our trip team will be helping out anywhere they can! We are so excited to go forth in this project and look forward to building gardens for the community but also for the Kingdom!
Personal Message:
Guatemala is near and dear to our hearts. We have been blessed beyond measure to go on mission there in years prior and are ecstatic to go there for our senior mission trip. We have fallen deeply in love with the people, culture, and history Guatemala has to offer. We have experience first-hand how these people live and the grit they must have to survive. We’ve worked with children who have physical disabilities and elders who are unable to see and hear but most of all we have worked with a loving community. We know the need for food is so drastic and we want to serve that need and make sure it is prosperous for years to come. We hope you will join us on this journey to bring clean, healthy food to the people of Guatemala.
Financial Goal:
Our financial goal is $3,500. With this money we will be buying the materials to build the plant boxes, the soil, seeds for planting, and Spanish Bibles. Our goal is to serve at least 60 families, but we would love to serve more!
