Step By Step:

We have a financial goal of $7,000 to be able to purchase the uniform shoes for the students of El Rosario, outside of Antigua, Guatemala. These students are required to have a specific pair of uniform shoes to become eligible to attend school. Any other proceeds will go towards the purchasing of brand new shoes to donate through different poverty-stricken communities in Antigua, Guatemala throughout the week we are there with the help of the 2024 Guatemala Mission Trip team. Shoes will be transported by the mission trip team and given out to multiple individuals such as babies, children, teens and young adults.

Personal Message:

This is Ava’s 3rd trip to Guatemala and Evan’s 2nd trip. Throughout our time in Guatemala, both of our hearts were truly touched by the citizens. The shoe drive is crucial to the Guatemala mission trip and has always been a huge highlight of the trip, being able to provide an item that is widely taken for granted in our society. We have come face to face with many beautiful Guatemalans from all walks of life, all struggling to find means for basic necessities. Many impacting relationships have been formed and there have been many experiences that we could never forget. When thinking of a project to take over for our senior year, it was a no-brainer that we wanted to choose the shoe drive. We are so ready to step into a leadership position for a project and trip that has drastically changed both of our lives forever.

Mission Statement:

Step by step, proclaiming the love of Christ, one pair at a time.
